BITTER LEAF SOUP/OFE ONUGBU

INGREDIENTS:

Cocoyams
Ogiri
Cube seasoning
Crayfish
Stockfish
Dry fish
Meat
Onions
Bitter leaves
Water leaves
Pepper
P/oil
Water

PROCEDURES:

Bitter leaf soup/ Ofe onugbu

-Boil your cocoyams till soft, peel and scoop out and pound (you can peel and boil along with your meat, or assorted to save time)
-Pre-boil your meat, stock fish or assorted.
-wash your bitterleaves or boil to remove the bitterness
- get your pot, pour your stock in,add your already washed bitterleaves
-cut up your cocoyams in tiny bits and put in, then allow to boil a few minutes
- for me I like to put in my pounded crayfish with ogiri, pepper and palm oil last. In other not to kill off the taste by boiling for long. Even putting my palm oil last helps in not putting in too much oil.
- put in your dry fish last too so it doesn't melt from too much heat. And don't forget your cube seasoning.
