 Past heroes are to be celebrated for their courageous attitude and bravery,One of those heroes who fought till the last and was remembered for his good deeds is Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola. Abiola was posthumously Awarded on June 6 2018 as GCFR by President Muhammadu Buhari and June 12 which was the date his death was pronounced is now the Nigeria"s democracy day.

Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola was a paladin and tycoon in  Nigerian  businesses and politics. Chief Moshood Kashimawo  was the Aare Ona Kankafo XIV of Yorubaland and also a patrician in Egba Clan which is a tribe in Yoruba land. Chief MKO is well known for his wealth and his benevolence, He's a man with many wife which include;Simbiat Atinuke,Kudirat Olayinka,Adebisi Olawunmi Oshin,Doyinsola Abiola Aboaba,Modupe Onitiri-Abiola,Remi Abiola.

Abiola was a personal friend of Babangida and he is believe to have fully supported Babangida's coming to power.
1993 was the year MKO Abiola ran for the presidency , for which the election results were neutralised by the preceding military president Ibrahim Babangida because of assertions that they were corrupt and unfair.
Chief Moshood  Kashimawo Olawale Abiola is still been celebrated all over Nigeria as one of the past heroes which is meant to be remembered. June 12 is the day Nigeria celebrate MKO's day which is also the Nigeria's democracy day.
